Your usual blogger Nicole is having dinner, so this is Paul. Today was our final rest day before heading back to the states. Unfortunately I can't show any pictures yet as I'm writing this on a restaurant computer.
We came to the coast for a spot of snorkling. After a 45 minute boat ride out to an isolated island, we spent about an hour snorkling in the crystal-clear waters. For once, we had a brief respite from the bugs (sand flies and mosquitoes). Lunch was chicken (barbecued on the island by the boat operators/ snorkling guides), potatoes, and coleslaw. The general consensus was that the chicken was the best that people have ever tasted (a choice that may have been clouded by the fact that we hadn't eaten in 7 hours).
This afternoon, we spent about an hour looking around the small port town and spending the rest of our (your) money and dinner was at a pretty nice restaurant.
We're now going to make the hour and a half journey back to our camp (20 miles away!). We're all pretty exhausted and everybody is keen to see their family and friends again. We are blessed to have very few minor injuries among the group, and nothing that a bit of TLC wouldn't cure.
We miss you all, and I REALLY miss my girlfriend Keli. She's amazing...

Dear Paul
You are a very good blogger!
Thank you for taking a little time for us. We really appreciate all the time, love and care that you guys(leaders) have given to our sons and daughters.
You will be blessed!
I am very glad that you guys had a fun Saturday.
We can't wait to see you back!
Praying for your journey back home.
Love always.
Sir,
Jolly good time in the water with your pals? The Lord blessed you Master Bruce with an affinity toward swimming much like Nemo before he got lost.
Have you been a proper gentleman all these days? Have you diligently prayed for your comrades? Have you thought of your Mum? Did you do something remarkable? Of course you have!
And what of that, er, frog Sir? Have you found him again? Or did he find you? Well, much like your other battles, this one most likely ended in your favor.
The Cave is a little different - got a new polish on it - you should sleep well, but we did have to turn off the Batcomputer to handle some of the dusting.
Well, Sir, keep an eye on your mates and pray for their safety. Support the Leadership in every way as we do on the home front.
Will you be wanting the RedOrange or the Milktruck?
Stay True,
Alfred
Great job! We're looking forward to having all of you back! Can't wait to hear about all God has done for you and through you as you followed His direction to do His work. May you have a fun and safe trip back home. See you bright and early Monday morning!
Ciena - I think your baby sister may have missed you a little. I know your daddy and I missed you a lot!
Hey Noelle and Michaela!
We are counting down the hours until we get to hug and kiss you! We are proud of you and your team for spending your summer break serving Jesus! We’re praying for safe travels. See you soon!
XOXO,
Daddy, Momma, Nate and Kristen
